Following the earlier release of the green unpainted soft vinyl toy of "Umibozu (Sea Monster)" based on Tsukasa Hojo's manga series "City Hunter" by Japanese designer toy brand REDSHARK (レッドシャーク), the highly anticipated colored version has finally arrived! In the story of "City Hunter," "Umibozu" is a peer with strength comparable to "Ryo Saeba." He is tall, bald, and his sunglasses are his signature feature. He once worked as a mercenary and a city cleaner, later becoming the owner of the "Cat's Eye Cafe." Although his eyes were injured by Ryo, who was injected with "Angel Dust" during their mercenary days, causing damage to his optic nerves and eventually leading to complete loss of sight in the later parts of the manga, Umibozu can still utilize his formidable skills through his hearing. His weaknesses are extreme shyness around women and cats; he even gets scared and hides when he hears a cat's meow.
This colored version of the "Umibozu" soft vinyl figure stands approximately 24 cm tall. The sculpting strongly emphasizes his robust upper body, maintaining a visually powerful, broad-shouldered, and incredibly muscular presence even in toy form! It faithfully recreates his classic look, dressed in a dark green military uniform and wearing sunglasses. The sheen on the sunglasses, his furrowed brow expression, and the wrinkles in his clothing are all exceptionally well-rendered. Both arms are also equipped with articulation, allowing for simple posing and play. Highly recommended for "City Hunter" fans.
