Following products like the "American Crayfish", "Dead Leaf Mantis", and "Velociraptor", Japanese model manufacturer FUJIMI (Fujimi Mokei)'s "Jiyu Kenkyu (Free Research)" assembly model series has once again announced two new collaborative works with "Evangelion": "Rhinoceros Beetle Unit-01 Specification" and "Stag Beetle Unit-02 Specification", with a reference price of 4,180 JPY each, scheduled for release in July 2023!
The "FUJIMI Jiyu Kenkyu Rhinoceros Beetle Unit-01 Specification / Stag Beetle Unit-02 Specification" are based on the previously sold Stag Beetle vs. Rhinoceros Beetle assembly model kits and are produced at an almost 1:1 specimen scale. The molded colors have been replaced with the purple, green, and black of EVA Unit-01, and the red, white, and orange color scheme identical to EVA Unit-02, respectively. They also include stickers with the unit markings, allowing for assembly without painting, and perfectly recreating the unit's appearance!
