From TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of BANDAI SPIRITS in Japan, the "Figuarts ZERO" non-articulated figure brand's "EXTRA BATTLE" series, which recreates characters in the midst of unleashing their signature moves, has announced its latest product from "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero": the "Beast Gohan -Special Beam Cannon-" pre-painted figure! It is scheduled for release in September 2023.
In "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero," Gohan's new form, Beast Gohan (孫悟飯ビースト), is an explosive transformation where the beast within awakens after witnessing Piccolo suffer near-fatal injuries from Cell Max's attack! The most significant difference from previous transformation states is his hair turning silver, his eyes glowing red, and a purple aura shimmering around his body.
This finished product, crafted around Beast Gohan unleashing his powerful special technique "Special Beam Cannon," stands approximately 23 cm tall. It faithfully recreates his powerful crouching pose, with power concentrated at his right fingertips and a low center of gravity. The silver-white painted hair is incredibly striking, promising an impressive visual effect when seen in person. His screaming expression, tensed muscles, and damaged clothing are meticulously crafted, with abundant wrinkles and sculpted lines further enhancing the three-dimensionality and layering. The rich brushwork also highly conveys the sense of being in battle! The Special Beam Cannon is composed of translucent blue and red lightning effect parts, perfectly recreating the moment before it is fired. Combined with the rock texture and effects on the base, the overall look is truly awesome!
