The concept behind Shark Boy's creation stems from a concern for animals, using the universally revered ocean overlord—the shark—as its prototype. While retaining the shark's round black eyes and sharp teeth, its appearance reduces the fierce and sharp impression of a shark. Dressed in super-tight yellow shorts that reveal a round belly, it exhibits an unexpectedly adorable contrast, breaking the stereotype of sharks being terrifying. The Shark Boy figure first debuted at the 2016 Taipei Toy Festival, instantly becoming a sensation and being "snapped up" by toy fans in seconds, its popularity rivaling that of the IKEA shark.
The "Shark Boy Figure EasyCard" not only perfectly showcases Teacher []'s creativity and skill, but its unique shark design can also be appreciated as a collectible toy. This EasyCard will be available for pre-order starting April 27th at 12:00 PM (noon) on the IP licensing platform Be Come True, priced at NT$690. In addition to the classic ocean blue colorway, a rare lime green variant will also be released. These are limited editions and will not be restocked once sold out.
