Japanese toy company Good Smile Company's popular and best-selling "Nendoroid" (ねんどろいど) toy series is scheduled to release a Nendoroid figure of "Koko" Hajime Kokonoi, a former Black Dragons member and one of the characters from the popular anime and manga series 《Tokyo Revengers》, in September 2023!
《Tokyo Revengers》（東京卍リベンジャーズ）is a shonen manga created by Japanese manga artist Ken Wakui. It was serialized from 2017 and concluded in 2022, with a total of 278 chapters. The latest second season of the anime finished airing on April 2nd, and a third season is planned. The story follows the protagonist, Takemichi Hanagaki, who at 25 years old lives a pathetic, unaccomplished life. One day, he learns of the deaths of his former girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, and her younger brother, Naoto Tachibana. Subsequently, he is inexplicably pushed onto the train tracks at a station platform. At the moment of death, he travels back 12 years into the past. He initially believes it's a chance from heaven to see his beloved again, but upon shaking hands with Naoto, he instantly returns to his original timeline and reunites with Naoto, who has become a detective. Through Naoto's explanation, Takemichi learns the secret of his time-traveling ability. The two then decide to use this power to change fate, save Hinata, and eliminate the source of all problems, the "Tokyo Manji Gang." Thus, the story unfolds.
Hajime Kokonoi, nicknamed Koko due to the pronunciation of his name, first appeared as the 10th Division Captain of the Black Dragons' guard unit. He is mischievous and often sticks out his tongue. He is a childhood friend of Seishu Inui and was in love with Inui's older sister, Akane. After Inui lost to Taiju Shiba, Koko joined the Black Dragons with Inui and served under Taiju. After Taiju's defeat, he and Inui joined the Tokyo Manji Gang's First Division, becoming subordinates to Takemichi. He is very skilled at conducting illicit businesses to acquire funds and was later scouted by the "Tenjiku" organization.
This Nendoroid of Hajime Kokonoi is based on his appearance when he first debuted in the Black Dragons, including his cool and unique hairstyle. It comes with three interchangeable face plates, as well as his favorite fan accessory. The "BD" lettering on the back of his uniform is also meticulously reproduced with fine detail.
