Following the release of Kamen Rider SHADOWMOON, the popular action figure series 'S.H.Figuarts', issued by BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's toy division TAMASHII NATIONS, today announced the pre-transformation human form, "Nobuhiko Akizuki (Kamen Rider BLACK SUN)", scheduled for release in November 2023.
Appearing in 'Kamen Rider BLACK SUN', Nobuhiko Akizuki is the transformer of Kamen Rider SHADOWMOON. At the age of 11, he and Kotaro Minami were implanted with the King Stone by his researcher father, becoming Kaijin, and he was also one of the candidates for the "Creation King". In 1970s Japan, a period of intense conflict between humans and Kaijin, Kotaro Minami, Nobuhiko Akizuki, and a group of Kaijin comrades formed the anti-discrimination group "Gorgom" to advocate for Kaijin rights. However, due to the intervention of the Japanese government, the group fell apart. Subsequently, Nobuhiko was imprisoned by his former comrades for 50 years. After escaping and reuniting with Kotaro Minami, he initially shared the belief of jointly ending the "Creation King". However, after witnessing a young Kaijin being murdered by humans and the corruption of the Japanese government, he became extremely enraged. He resolved to dominate the Gorgom Party and create a world where Kaijin would rule over humans, drawing his sword against Kotaro, who sought to end the history of Kaijin.
The "S.H.Figuarts Nobuhiko Akizuki (Kamen Rider BLACK SUN)" utilizes digital coloring technology to faithfully reproduce the facial features of actor Tomoya Nakamura. It comes with two interchangeable expression parts and three pairs of sculpted hands. The entire figure features his characteristic brown trench coat and other attire. The transformation belt "Moon Driver" part can be attached to the waist. With the trench coat made of soft material and the highly flexible articulation throughout the body, cool transformation poses can be recreated. Furthermore, accessories include the "Satan Sabre" which can be displayed in both complete and broken states, and a glowing "Kamen Rider SHADOWMOON head replacement part" which can be used with the separately sold SHADOWMOON main body!
