Released by Japan's CAPCOM company, the 'CAPCOM FIGURE BUILDER Creator's Model' statue series, a collaboration with renowned monster sculptors for the "Monster Hunter" franchise, has announced its latest product: the "Violet Mizutsune (Rare Species)". The suggested retail price is 16,500 JPY, with an anticipated release in September 2023.
The new monster "Violet Mizutsune", which appeared in "MONSTER HUNTER RISE: SUNBREAK", is a rare species variant of the Mizutsune. It possesses beautiful lily-of-the-valley colored fur and, like the regular Mizutsune, can secrete a special fluid that makes the ground incredibly slippery, then corner its prey with gas-filled bubbles. While usually graceful, when it intends to drive away a target, it rubs its fur to ignite its oily fluid, engulfing its body in white flames and setting its surroundings ablaze.
The "CAPCOM FIGURE BUILDER Creator's Model Violet Mizutsune (Rare Species)" is sculpted by Ryuichi Furuichi and supervised by Ryu Oyama. The sculpt meticulously recreates the monster's slender and magnificent in-game physique. The overall paintwork features a beautiful gradient from white to purple, presenting a lily-of-the-valley-like coloration. The scale carvings are both exquisite and vivid, and the raised tail is sculpted with dense purplish-black fur. In addition to the translucent foamy slide marks on the ground, transparent bubbles adorn the tail, creating a sense of speed as it whips its tail.
