Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the『S.H.MonsterArts』series, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with outstanding articulation technology, has announced its latest product, "Godzilla (1991) Shinjuku Decisive Battle," following the "Mecha-King Ghidorah Shinjuku Decisive Battle Special Set" released earlier this year. This new item, also from the film "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah," is scheduled for release in September 2023.
This product features Godzilla as it reappears in the latter half of the film, reborn after absorbing the immense nuclear energy from the Teiyo Group's nuclear submarine. Both its colossal 100-meter stature and internal energy are more powerful than ever before, leading to the final decisive battle in Shinjuku against Mecha-King Ghidorah, modified by future humans from the 23rd century. The product's prototype sculpting, color specification, and production direction are handled by Japan's foremost monster sculptor, Yuji Sakai, meticulously recreated based on the suit data used in the original film!
The "S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (1991) Shinjuku Decisive Battle" is crafted with entirely new parts, faithfully reproducing its fierce yet majestic head sculpt, robust and heavy physique, and highly organic, coral-like dorsal fins. The intricate paintwork captures its expressive eyes, the colors of its oral cavity and tongue, and the yellowish texture of its claws and teeth. Renowned S.H.MonsterArts articulation designer Mitsuhiko Hosokawa has engineered intricate part segmentation and flexible joints, allowing for an extensive range of motion without exposing the joints or compromising the sculpt, perfectly recreating its powerful battle poses from the film!
