Japanese toy manufacturer SO-TA (State of the Art), known for its wide range of product themes from fun trinkets and realistic creatures to collaborations with various sculptors, teams up with Japanese artist Gaburi (@gabu0311gabu) and Japanese sculptor Kazma Taiki (@Kazma_Taiki) to jointly create a new cute and humorous capsule toy: "Dog-Gator" (tentative translation, Inuwani)! It is scheduled for release in August 2023.
Breaking away from their usual ferocity, these "Dog-Gators" not only have short limbs but also allow you to attach a collar. They stand approximately 3.3 cm tall and measure a rather substantial 6.5 cm long for a capsule toy. The design is handled by Gaburi, while the sculpting is masterfully executed by Kazma Taiki. While reinterpreting their physique with adorable proportions, realistic skin textures are also meticulously sculpted, and their short tails are an absolute highlight of cuteness! In addition to an articulated mouth that can open and close, the neck also features a movable joint for rotation, further enhancing their playful charm. Although the alligator body itself only changes color across the four variations, the included accessories differ for each, making multiple acquisitions highly recommended.
