Japanese model kit maker Kotobukiya expanded its highly customizable original model kit series, "HEXA GEAR," with the "Governor LAT Solid [Cradle]", originally released in September 2023.
The Solid line was developed before the Pawn series as Generation 2.5 transitional equipment. Its lightweight design offered exceptional freedom of movement, but once the Pawn series took over front-line combat duties, the armor was redesignated as the LAT Solid series and reassigned to training and special operations. Several configurations were developed to accommodate each user’s physique and level of BMI proficiency, with the version issued to underage soldiers designated [Cradle]. Because its users were still physically developing, the [Cradle] left the factory with certain functions—including its optical sensors—restricted to reduce physical strain.
The "Governor LAT Solid [Cradle]" is molded in five colors: white, light gray, dark brown, black, and orange. Despite standing only about 70 mm tall, the kit features a muscular physique, sleek white armor, and sensors positioned throughout the body. It also packs an impressive 29 points of articulation, allowing the neck, torso, limbs, and back-mounted glide module to achieve a wide range of dynamic poses. Weapons include a Lightweight Railgun: Type C and a Stun Rod.
