Taiwanese original model studio R-one studio, in collaboration with designer Howard Hsu, has launched the "Arthropod Legion" Hime Kabuto Mushi warrior "Hime Kabuto Mushi" GK kit. Pre-orders are now open, with an estimated shipping date between June and July 2023. The cool armor and intricate details are highly anticipated!
The "Hime Kabuto Mushi" GK kit features character design by Howard Hsu (@howarddelevi), a designer skilled in combining sci-fi mecha with realistic creatures, and sculpting by R-one studio's prototype artist R1 Chung (@r_one_studio). The beetle is integrated into the image of an armored warrior, creating a Japanese Sengoku samurai-like appearance – the Hime Kabuto Mushi's characteristic massive horns become the samurai helmet, while the hard elytra are infused with a mecha style. The chest armor is intricately layered with astonishing details, including ropes connecting the torso armor, gauntlets, chainmail, and a samurai katana weapon at the waist. The face is designed in an "Oni Hannya" style, showcasing an intimidating and powerful stance.
