To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the 'ROBOT SPIRITS' series, a line of robot-themed articulated finished figures released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, today announced the upcoming release of the commemorative product "Gundam Aerial ver. A.N.I.M.E. ~ROBOT SPIRITS 15th Anniversary~" from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury", scheduled for September 2023.
This product is fundamentally similar to the previously released standard version. Compared to the HG model kit version, it further emphasizes the human-like curves of the arms, chest, and legs, and most of the armor features rich sculpted line details. The head camera is rendered in metallic green to express a glowing texture, while the covers on the forehead, chest, and thighs are sculpted on the inner side of transparent parts, showcasing the mechanical internal structure beneath.
Each joint features flexible multi-joint mechanisms, allowing for dynamic poses, various combat stances, and the kneeling pose seen in the main visual. The armaments include a beam rifle, beam sabers, a shield, and beam effect parts. The shield is divided into two types for interchangeable use: "shield-specific parts" and "BIT ON FORM-specific parts". This design ensures both stability and volume in shield form, and prevents awkward part connections when separated into GUND-Bits for use as funnels or in BIT ON FORM.
This version further includes a "ROBOT SPIRITS 15th Anniversary Special Commemorative Stand", a "Suletta Mercury Cockpit Close-up Standee", and a standee printed with the famous quote "If you run away, you get one. If you move forward, you gain two." These can be displayed together with the Gundam Aerial main unit, enhancing the world view of "The Witch from Mercury"!
