Bandai Spirits, a popular soft vinyl toy series 『MOVIE MONSTER』 from Japan, has announced the latest product, "Zetton," from the movie "Shin Ultraman," slated for release in December 2023.
The Zetton featured in "Shin Ultraman" is not the familiar space dinosaur monster from previous "Ultraman" series. Instead, it is the "Celestial Suppression Ultimate Weapon" from Ultraman's home world, the "Land of Light," designed to maintain cosmic order by utterly destroying planets harboring potential threats. Its colossal size is such that humans can clearly witness its form with the naked eye when it enters Earth's satellite orbit. The trillion-degree super-high-temperature fireball unleashed by Zetton possesses the terrifying power to not only instantly vaporize Earth and the entire solar system but also to obliterate all matter within a 200-light-year radius.
The "MOVIE MONSTER Zetton" stands at an exceptionally massive 30 cm, making it one of the largest in the entire series. Crafted from soft vinyl, it faithfully recreates the character's cross-shaped silhouette, sharp angles, and mechanical structure with intricate parallel line patterns, just as seen in the film. Compared to standard MOVIE MONSTER series products, this figure utilizes a greater number of segmented parts to capture the detailed, geometrically designed sculpt. Consequently, its price also marks a new high for the series.
