From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division, the "S.H.Figuarts" action figure series, known for its exceptional sculpting and coloring, is set to release its latest product themed after the movie "Spider-Man: No Way Home": the "S.H.Figuarts Green Goblin" action figure. It will retail for 16,500 JPY and is scheduled for release in October 2023.
Marvel's supervillain Green Goblin is Spider-Man's greatest archenemy. The original Green Goblin was Norman Osborn, father of Spider-Man's friend Harry and owner of Oscorp. During an experiment with a chemical formula, a mutation accident granted Norman superhuman strength and speed, and further enhanced his already above-average intelligence. However, it also had a side effect, plunging Norman into a self-destructive state of madness.
The "S.H.Figuarts Green Goblin (Spider-Man: No Way Home)" action figure, based on the movie's design, stands approximately 15.5 cm tall. Its overall costume features the metallic green battle suit from the final confrontation, complete with a tattered purple hood. Utilizing tampo printing technology, the figure faithfully recreates the realistic likeness of actor Willem Dafoe, perfectly capturing the aged appearance of the actor who returned to the role at over 66 years old. Accessories include a pumpkin bomb, multiple interchangeable hands, and an alternate head wearing sunglasses. The hood can also be displayed in a removed state using interchangeable parts. Furthermore, the included glider features intricate mechanical details and can be posed in its hovering/gliding forms, recreating Green Goblin's aerial maneuvers.
