Bandai Namco Toys recently announced the upcoming release of a new product, "DX Earth Garon," from the latest Ultraman series, Ultraman Blazar, scheduled for July 2023.
The setting of Ultraman Blazar is an Earth frequently plagued by kaiju disasters. To defend against threats from both within and outside Earth, humanity established the Global Free-for-all Force (GFF) in 1966. Returning to the present day, where nature is rapidly being destroyed, the protagonist Hiruma Gento, who leads a special unit, merges with the giant of light, "Ultraman Blazar," from celestial body M421 during a crisis. Following this event, Gento is appointed captain of the secret special unit "SKaRD," tasked with utilizing new weaponry to resolve kaiju incidents. The primary weapon employed by SKaRD is the "Type 23 Special Tactical Mecha-Beast Earth Garon." This bipedal mecha stands 50 meters tall and is equipped with powerful armaments such as charged particle cannons and missiles. Piloted by two personnel, it can unleash outstanding combat capabilities.
While the "DX Earth Garon" is a DX toy aimed at children, its overall production quality is exceptionally high. It faithfully recreates the heavy armor of the suit from the show with intricate sculpting and rich colors. The entire body features an impressive 20 points of articulation, allowing for dynamic poses such as running and attacking. Furthermore, this toy boasts extensive light and sound effects, including 17 types of combat command voices and attack sounds. The illuminating device in the head also synchronizes with the sound effects, recreating the thrilling battle sequences!
