The action figure series "NXEDGE STYLE," released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced its latest product from "Digimon": "NXEDGE STYLE [DIGIMON UNIT] Omegamon Alter-S"! It is scheduled for release in September 2023.
"Omegamon Alter-S" first appeared in the 2017 Digivice "Digimon 20th Anniversary Edition." It was born from the fusion of the WarGreymon subspecies "BlitzGreymon" and the MetalGarurumon subspecies "CresGarurumon." While a distinct individual from Omegamon, it is equally powerful! Its special moves present a contrasting style to Omegamon, namely the "Grey Cannon" which fires plasma from a turret shaped like BlitzGreymon, and the "Garuru Sword" which converts accumulated energy in the sword into a powerful slash.
The "Omegamon Alter-S," rendered in three dimensions within the NXEDGE STYLE series with its unique proportions, faithfully recreates its main colors of white, gold, red, and black, and meticulously restores its distinctive head. The Garuru Sword on its right arm and the Grey Cannon on its left hand possess a strong sense of volume, while the gold sections of the shoulder armor, knees, claws, and Garuru Sword display a dazzling metallic finish. The lower edge of the black cape also features an irregular shape, distinct from Omegamon. With excellent articulation, it can recreate a dignified knightly pose with both arms raised, and by adjusting the cape's angle, it can enhance the dynamism of its battle stance. With the included interchangeable parts, Omegamon Alter-S's gaze can be changed.
