With the information release of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger's sixth king (additional warrior), Spider Kumonos, Bandai Toys Japan recently announced the latest transforming weapon toys, "DX Spider Kumonos Sword" and "DX Venomix Shooter," scheduled for release on May 20, 2023.
The sixth king, Spider Kumonos, has a pristine white appearance, distinct from the other five kings. This is because his transformation system is not the "Ohger Calibur" developed by Yanma, but rather a tarantula-shaped backhand sword, the "Spider Kumonos Sword." By inserting the powerful "Kumonos Transformation Key" into the sword, he can transform and unleash powerful sword techniques. His other weapon, the "Venomix Shooter," can also have a key inserted to charge it with potent venom energy, firing powerful poison bullets.
The "DX Spider Kumonos Sword" product includes the Spider Kumonos Sword main unit, the Kumonos Transformation Key, the God Kumonos Key, and a key storage hook. Designed with safety standards for children as young as 3 years old, it faithfully recreates the in-show weapon and features cool light and sound effects. When the transformation key is inserted into the Spider Kumonos Sword and rotated, the tarantula-shaped device on top will extend its 8 legs, its eyes will glow red, and transformation sound effects will play simultaneously.
Reference Price: 6,600 JPY (tax included)
Expected Release Date: 2023/05/20
The "DX Venomix Shooter" includes the Venomix Shooter main unit and the Venomix Kumonos Key. After inserting the key into the Venomix Shooter, it can be rotated 1 to 3 times to switch between three attack modes, playing a total of 8 different attack sound effects. By utilizing the built-in shake sensor to simulate mixing actions, it can unleash cool finishing moves.
Reference Price: 4,180 JPY (tax included)
Expected Release Date: 2023/05/20
Furthermore, the product also reveals that when the "God Kumonos Key" is inserted into the sword, it allows for transformation into a God Tarantula possession mode. When the "Venomix Kumonos Key" is inserted, it grants powers related to the in-show enemy, Bugnarok, hinting that Spider Kumonos might possess a dual identity. Will this additional warrior be an ally or an enemy to the five kings?
