From Japanese figure maker GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted figure series 'POP UP PARADE', following Tiz Arrior, Agnès Oblige, and Edea Lee, the fourth product from the 3DS classic RPG masterpiece 'Bravely Default Flying Fairy', which celebrates its tenth anniversary, 'Ringabel', has been announced for release in August 2023.
The fourth Warrior of Light, Ringabel, is a young man who wanders aimlessly, having lost his memory. He carries 'D's Journal', a book that foretells the future, which guides him to become a companion to Tiz and the others. Although all events that occur give him a sense of déjà vu, he is unable to recall his own identity. Ringabel always displays a playboy persona towards various women, appearing frivolous and unserious, but he is actually a crucial character in the story.
'POP UP PARADE Ringabel' is based on the character design by Akihiko Yoshida, the game's art director. Standing at 15 cm tall, it recreates the game's chibi-style proportions, meticulously detailing his distinctive pompadour hairstyle and the fluffy texture of his scarf. The clothing buttons and belt's metal rings are also finished with metallic paint to reproduce their texture, and his confident smile is brought to life with transfer printing. The product is priced at 4,800 JPY (tax included). It is an excellent commemorative item as the game celebrates its 10th anniversary.
