Japanese toy brand GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted PVC figure series "POP UP PARADE" is scheduled to release a three-dimensional figure of "Vash the Stampede", the protagonist from the popular 90s manga series 《Trigun》, in August 2023!
《Trigun》 (Japanese title: トライガン) is a work created by Japanese manga artist "Yasuhiro Nightow", which began serialization in 1995 and concluded in 1997. Later, in 1997, 《Trigun Maximum》 was launched, serializing until 2007. The anime adaptation was released in 1998. The story describes a blonde-haired man named "Vash the Stampede", a wanted criminal with a 60 billion Double Dollar bounty on a desolate planet. Always smiling, he causes great disasters wherever he goes, earning him the moniker "Humanoid Typhoon". Due to his exorbitant bounty, many bounty hunters seek his life, leading an insurance company to assign agents to follow him, thus beginning a perilous adventure.
The protagonist, Vash the Stampede, is a master gunman with blonde hair, colored glasses, a prosthetic left arm, and a red coat. He always wears a smile, which can sometimes seem disingenuous, but he carries a heavy past and harbors secrets that set him apart from ordinary people.
This POP UP PARADE Vash the Stampede figure stands approximately 12.5 cm tall and is sculpted based on his half-kneeling pose. He kneels on one knee, holding a large-caliber pistol in his right hand, looking back and preparing to shoot. His expression is serious, and his red coat has a dynamic, flowing feel. The inclusion of bullet accessories further highlights his exceptional sharpshooter demeanor.
