Taiwanese toy design company "Asmus Toys" will be releasing its latest product: the high school girl "KIBITSU MOMOKO" 1/6 scale collectible articulated figure. Pre-orders are currently open on their official website, with an estimated release in late May 2023.
The original character Girl Crush series, designed by Asmus Toys, introduces the adorable high school girl "KIBITSU MOMOKO." Combining elements of the Japanese Momotaro fairy tale with a strong Japanese aesthetic, this seemingly ordinary high school student is brought into a fantasy adventure world—a diligent student by day, transforming into a demon-slaying samurai by night?! Utilizing a 1/6 scale semi-seamless body, the figure faithfully recreates the slender yet graceful physique of a high school girl, presented with a vibrant, youthful style. In addition to thick eyelashes on her face, her upward-sweeping, sword-like eyebrows exude a hint of righteousness!
The figure comes with a rich array of fabric clothing, including a sailor uniform top, a pleated skirt, and a cardigan sweater. Thoughtfully, two types of underwear (black/striped) are included beneath the skirt, along with iconic accessories like knee-high socks, student shoes, a school bag, and a mobile phone, allowing for the enjoyment of her ordinary, cute daily life.
For the demon-slaying accessories, there are a samurai helmet, a samurai demon mask, elbow pads, a belt, knee pads, double-row roller skates, and two Japanese swords. Although the overall color scheme is quite pink, when combined, it looks incredibly cool and stylish, presenting a completely different stance and aura!
In addition, a deluxe base set is included, featuring Momotaro's animal companions: a mischievous monkey, a Chihuahua (dog), and a pheasant, joining the fray! Also included for decoration on the circular base are realistic demon heads, peach dango, a Demon City station sign, a station wall, and a base stand, further completing Momoko's worldview and allowing the articulated figure to be displayed as spectacularly as a diorama statue.
