Japan's M.I.C. Co., Ltd. (MIC Corporation), under its "The Spirit Collection of Inoue Takehiko" series, which brings manga artist Takehiko Inoue's works to life in three dimensions, will release the latest "STYLE IN THE MOMENT 《REAL》Kiyoharu Togawa" PVC figure! Priced at 22,000 JPY, it is scheduled for release in July 2023.
Kiyoharu Togawa, one of the three protagonists in Takehiko Inoue's manga 《REAL》, dreamed of becoming a sprinter since childhood, but his dream was shattered when he suffered an amputation below the right knee joint due to osteosarcoma. Later, led by Tora Katsuta and Hitoshi Yamauchi, he entered the world of wheelchair basketball, joining the "Tigers" wheelchair basketball team. His competitive nature initially caused friction with teammates, leading him to leave the team, but he rejoined after meeting Nomiya; subsequently, thanks to his outstanding performance, he was selected as a representative for Japan's national wheelchair basketball team.
The "The Spirit Collection of Inoue Takehiko STYLE IN THE MOMENT 《REAL》Kiyoharu Togawa" PVC figure, with its sculpting and painting thoroughly supervised by original author Takehiko Inoue, stands approximately 16 cm tall, recreating the Tigers' ace point guard! Digital transfer technology is used to precisely reproduce Kiyoharu's facial expression, vividly capturing his fighting spirit in the wheelchair. In addition to the tiger-striped wheelchair, details such as Kiyoharu's well-defined musculature and team uniform are faithfully rendered.
