Following commemorative releases like the "X Second Armor" and other impressive works in the popular action game "Mega Man X" 1/12 scale model kit series by Japanese toy company Kotobukiya, they are now launching an enhanced version: the "X Second Armor Double Charge Shot ver."! The suggested retail price is 9,460 JPY, with an estimated release in September 2023.
The "X Second Armor Double Charge Shot ver." 1/12 scale model kit, standing approximately 137mm tall, is based on the previously released version. The molding color of the Second Armor has been changed to a pearlescent, metallic finish, reminiscent of a charging state, giving the entire figure an enhanced texture. Additionally, new large effect parts are included: these allow for the recreation of one of the series' highest-performance moves, the "Double Charge Shot," and the invincible special move, "Shoryuken"! This powerfully recreates scenes of unleashing hidden special techniques!
Utilizing Kotobukiya's CAD modeling technology, the kit meticulously pursues the in-game proportions and features precise articulation design, allowing for the complete recreation of various poses from the game. Furthermore, the included interchangeable face parts—normal face, gritting teeth face, and roaring face—are all new parts with altered gazes. For accessories, in addition to three pairs of different hand parts (fists, open hands, and splayed hands) for replacement, both left and right hands can reproduce the cannon-firing state through interchangeable parts. The product box art also features a brand-new illustration drawn by Keisuke Mizuno, character designer for the "Mega Man X" series.
