The HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co. has announced the latest product from "Gundam Build Metaverse," the "Gundam 00 Diver Arc," from its 1/144 scale Gunpla "HG (High Grade)" series, which boasts the most diverse range of mobile suits. It is scheduled for release on December 02, 2023.
The Gundam 00 Diver Arc is a new mobile suit model based on the "Gundam 00 Diver" created by Riku Mikami, the protagonist of the third series, "Gundam Build Divers." Its overall design, color scheme, and armaments pay homage to the Gundam AGE series mobile suits favored by champion Kyoya Kujo. Below the twin shoulder GN Drives, it is equipped with a "GN Burst System" inspired by the Gundam AGE-FX, which can be used as armaments such as a greatsword or shield.
The "HG 1/144 Gundam 00 Diver Arc" utilizes numerous new parts based on the Gundam 00 Diver's base body to recreate its refined design and brand-new original armaments. The "GN DRIVES" on both shoulders feature a new design with an extendable mechanism, and the particle emission ports use metallic green 3D stickers to express a three-dimensional and luminous texture. In addition to the "GN Sword II" on both sides of the waist, it can also utilize a wealth of beam effect parts to recreate the armaments deployed from the rear backpack, both wrists, and below the twin shoulder GN Drives. The shoulder armor equipped with the GN DRIVE can also be detached and used as a greatsword. These beam effect parts are specially made with "light-gathering resin," which can absorb incident light and create a self-luminous effect.
