Released by BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division, the 'Figure-rise Standard Amplified' series, which amplifies character tension through model kit specifications, today at the 61st Shizuoka Hobby Show, unveiled for the first time the development prototype of its latest product from 'Digimon', 'MetalGreymon', with a release date yet to be determined.
MetalGreymon is a Cyborg Digimon whose body is largely mechanized. MetalGreymon, having successfully evolved from Greymon, can unleash its full power, possessing special moves such as 'Trident Arm' executed with its Chrome Digizoid mechanical arm, the 'Giga Destroyer' missile launched from its chest, and the 'Ultimate Blast' high-temperature energy wave emitted from its chest port. Its attack power is comparable to a nuclear warhead, capable of obliterating lower-level Digimon without a trace after an attack.
For the biological body parts of 'Figure-rise Standard Amplified MetalGreymon', instead of the original's bulky, organic feel, it features a more refined and slender physique, along with flexible articulated joint designs. The cyborg-modified mechanical parts boast more detailed mechanical structures and sharper, more aggressive components, such as the three horns on its helmet and the three pairs of wings on its back, which are larger and more pointed than the original. The hatch for launching the 'Giga Destroyer' from its chest faithfully recreates its deployment mechanism, and its most distinctive left mechanical arm utilizes parts from 'Machinedramon'.
