Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY's MECHA SMILE brand, under its "MODEROID" assembly model series, has announced its latest product, "MODEROID Thunderjaw," from the globally renowned open-world game "Horizon Forbidden West." It has a suggested retail price of 9,800 JPY and is scheduled for release in December 2023.
Developed by SONY's studio Guerrilla Games, the "Horizon" sequel, "Horizon Forbidden West," is set in the 31st century where humanity lives in semi-primitive tribal communities. The surface is teeming with advanced, futuristic mechanical creatures, but due to the "Red Blight" phenomenon, the machines have begun to rampage... Among them, the most popular colossal machine, the "Thunderjaw," boasts a Tyrannosaurus-like appearance and powerful laser attacks, making it one of the most terrifying machines.
The long-awaited colossal machine "MODEROID Thunderjaw" assembly model perfectly recreates the Thunderjaw's high-density body details. Measuring an impressive 38 cm in length, its hip joints utilize pre-assembled ratchet joints to support its massive body. Coupled with various movable joints throughout the body and pull-out joints in areas like the neck and tail, you can enjoy dynamic poses, such as its powerful tail-swinging close-range attacks!
It faithfully reproduces the distinctive weapon designs, including the mouth laser cannon and disc launchers. The gatling guns connected to the sides of the head and the belt-like parts on the body are made of PVC, creating an overall intricate and complex mechanical aesthetic. Furthermore, by removing certain parts from the head, body, and tail, you can even recreate its damaged state!
