S-FIRE, a popular brand under Japan's SEGA Games Co., Ltd., is set to release its latest product based on the popular anime and manga series 'Chainsaw Man': the "Chainsaw Man" 1/7 scale figure. With a suggested retail price of 25,850 JPY, it is scheduled for release in May 2024!
Created by Japanese manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto, the dark shonen manga series 'Chainsaw Man' tells the story of a world overrun by "Devils." The extremely impoverished protagonist, Denji, becomes a Devil Hunter, earning money by slaying Devils to pay off his deceased father's massive debt. He partners with the Chainsaw Devil, Pochita, to hunt Devils. In an unexpected incident, Pochita sacrifices himself, forming a contract with Denji's heart, resurrecting Denji and granting him the ability to transform into the Chainsaw Devil. This power catches the attention of the government's "Public Safety Devil Hunters Special Division."
The "S-FIRE Chainsaw Man" 1/7 scale figure, standing approximately 26 cm tall, brings Denji's rampaging Chainsaw Man form to life. A chainsaw pull cord, which can be pulled to start his heart, emerges from his chest, while sharp chainsaw blades extend from his arms and head, showcasing a fierce, battle-ready pose. The helmet and blades feature battle-damaged scars and bloodstains; details on his wind-swept shirt and other clothing are rendered with realistic shading. The base beneath his feet depicts chaotic exposed steel frames and rubble, vividly illustrating the intensity of Chainsaw Man's battles!
