Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya recently announced new information regarding its new Bishoujo plastic model kit series, "ARCANADEA," including the in-development prototype of its fifth character, "Soffiera," and a sample of the alternate color version, "Lumiere ReACT-A."
"Arcanadea" is a plastic model kit series with a sci-fi and fantasy theme. Its worldview is set in the near future, where Eden Industries has utilized newly discovered next-generation energy "Arcana Particles" to create the popular virtual space server "Eden." Among these, the fantasy-themed Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online (VRMMO) game "Arcanadea" enjoys immense popularity.
However, one day, a mysterious explosion occurred at Eden Industries, scattering "Arcana Crystals" that brought immense disaster to the world. These crystals not only caused strange phenomena worldwide but also brought unknown life forms from another world, "DEARS," possessing incredible powers. These "DEARS," resembling fantasy creatures, exist in two categories: those that harm humans and harmless ones that can coexist with humans. Therefore, Eden Industries began recruiting "DEAR MASTERS" who could work with harmless DEARS to recover Arcana Crystals.
The fifth character, "Soffiera," whose prototype was revealed for the first time, is also designed by illustrator necömi. Like the second character, Velletta, she is a demon-type DEARS. Compared to Velletta's cute little devil image, Soffiera possesses a more mature demeanor, a voluptuous figure, and massive scorpion-like wings and tail.
"Lumiere ReACT-A" is an alternate color version modified from the first angel-type DEARS, "Lumiere." In addition to changing the overall color scheme to a fallen angel-like black, the skin and clear parts' molding colors have also been replaced. It also includes hair parts in both white and another color scheme. Further details will be announced at a later date.
The 5th character, the centaur girl "ELENA," is also continuously under development. Furthermore, Kotobukiya has also preemptively revealed a silhouette of the 6th character, but no related information about that character is currently available.
