LEGO, which has released numerous mech sets based on MARVEL Super Heroes, is now bringing that idea to Star Wars! They have announced three new products with item numbers 75368, 75369, and 75370, which are the "Darth Vader Mech", "Boba Fett Mech", and "Stormtrooper Mech" respectively! They are expected to be released in August 2023.
Since the "76140 Iron Man Mech" in 2020, LEGO has continuously released sets of the same specification, themed around MARVEL Super Heroes, featuring minifigures paired with posable mechs, and containing around 100-150 pieces. For toy enthusiasts who love hero LEGO minifigures, this is a great opportunity for easy acquisition, and LEGO fans who enjoy creating their own MOCs can also obtain many ball joint pieces and assembly inspiration from these sets.
This time, the Star Wars mechs' choice of shoulder and leg joint pieces is very similar to the 76241, 76242, 76243 sets released earlier this year, but the outer structure of the legs is thicker. The overall tone and emblems are designed based on the characteristics of their respective pilots. I personally find the enlarged weapons for the mechs quite interesting; the large red lightsaber piece, the carbine with a stud shooter, and the blaster are all highly anticipated. The minifigures' original weapons can be attached to the mech's back or waist. The overall playability is excellent, though it might still be a niche appeal.
