Under Bandai Co., Ltd.'s GASHAPON division, the "HG" character figure series, known for its exquisite sculpting and compact size, will launch its first "Yu Yu Hakusho collection" based on the classic anime "Yu Yu Hakusho". The set's suggested retail price is 5,980 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in September 2023.
The classic manga series "Yu Yu Hakusho" begins with protagonist Yusuke Urameshi's accidental death in a car crash, leading him to become a "Spirit Detective". During his missions, he befriends the demon fox Kurama (Shuichi Minamino) and Hiei, who came to the human world from the Demon World. Together with his human best friend Kazuma Kuwabara from Sarayashiki Junior High, they solve problems involving demons from the Demon World and the human world, becoming comrades in arms. The art style also shifted towards a hot-blooded fighting manga genre.
The "HG Yu Yu Hakusho collection" features the four main characters: Yusuke Urameshi, Kazuma Kuwabara, Kurama, and Hiei. Their detailed sculpts and colors are meticulously recreated in a compact size of approximately 6 to 10 cm, vividly capturing their character poses and features. In addition to interchangeable hand parts for Yusuke to perform his Spirit Gun or a clenched fist, the set also includes commemorative photos featuring familiar scenes from the classic anime's opening, interstitial scenes, and ending! Elevating the nostalgic appeal!
