Following the 2018 standalone spin-off film "Bumblebee," the seventh live-action Transformers movie, "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" (hereinafter referred to as Rise of the Beasts), is finally set for its grand premiere on June 7th this year. Many Transformers enthusiasts and fans are undoubtedly eagerly anticipating this big-screen sequel after a five-year hiatus. They are also surely keen to discover how the film will re-interpret the origin of the beast-mimicking "Maximals" faction, and how they will stand alongside the "Autobots" to confront Cybertron's ultimate nightmare – "Unicron" (also translated as the Lord of the Universe). With its spectacular plot and diverse characters, there's no doubt that it will once again ignite a Transformers frenzy this summer!
Returning to the original essence of Transformers, the movie tie-in toys born in response to "Rise of the Beasts" are naturally also highly anticipated by fans and collectors. In addition to the previously unboxed Studio Series version, the internationally renowned toy manufacturer and creator of Transformers, "Hasbro," has also launched a dedicated toy line for Rise of the Beasts. This line features various series with ingenious mechanisms, not only suitable for new collectors but also doubling the fun of interactive play. Now, let our unboxing report give you a sneak peek at the wild roar of Rise of the Beasts!
▼ The stars of this deluxe unboxing include three "Beast Battle Masters," three "Battle Changers," three "Deluxe Class" figures, two "Voyager Class" figures, the large-sized beast mode "Beast-Mode Bumblebee," and the "Studio Series" Leader Class "Scourge" (also translated as Plague).

▼ Kicking things off are these three Beast Alliance "Beast Battle Masters" – the crocodile "Skullcruncher," "Cheetor" (the leopard), and "Rhinox" (the rhino). The packaging uses soft cardbacks, allowing you to clearly see and even feel the contents (Friendly reminder: please check carefully for missing parts when purchasing at physical stores).

▼ All three can transform between beast and weapon modes and possess a low degree of articulation. The weapon mode utilizes a 5mm peg as a handle, allowing them to interact not only with Rise of the Beasts toys but also with Transformers from other series!

▼ Next up are three Beast Alliance "Battle Changers" (the outer box also uses soft cardback packaging). This wave includes Bumblebee, Rhinox, and Optimus Prime.

▼ The transformation mechanism is designed for children, with a simpler process, allowing conversion between vehicle/beast mode and robot mode. Both Bumblebee and Optimus Prime have a hidden weapon design in their right hand, which can be deployed with a simple flip.

▼ Of course, they can also hold the Beast Battle Masters via the 5mm peg in their hands, expanding their firepower.

▼ "Bumblebee," included in the Deluxe Class of the main Rise of the Beasts toy line. It's notable that this time the outer box incorporates an art style blending jungle and ancient civilization architecture, which echoes the impending appearance of the Maximals. Incidentally, the off-road version of the Camaro vehicle in this release is also officially licensed by Chevrolet and General Motors (GM).

▼Robot Mode, equipped with weapons formed from the detachable front bumper and window guards, including two double-bladed forks and a shield set.

▼The articulation is richer than that of the Battle Changer figures, allowing for a variety of dynamic battle poses by utilizing its many joints. Notably, Bumblebee's signature weapon, the "Stinger Blaster," is concealed within his right arm, and with a simple flip, it can be directly transformed into a hand cannon mode!

▼Vehicle Mode. It must be said that this off-road muscle car design is truly refreshing.

▼The front bumper and window guards can also be directly removed, perfectly restoring the classic Camaro look!

▼"Cheetor," the passionate young Maximal warrior, is also included in the Deluxe Class. This time, the mechanical design can be said to be an extension of the Kingdom version, recreating both cheetah and robot dual modes.

▼The Robot Mode strongly pays homage to the style of "Beast Wars" (formerly known as "Transformers" in Taiwan). It comes with the classic gut gun and a tail whip blade formed from the tail.

▼The articulation is excellent, effortlessly allowing for a variety of dynamic, speed-filled poses, making it truly worth playing with!

▼Of course, playing in conjunction with the Weaponizer figures is also seamless. This Cheetor × Cheetor combination is simply perfect!
▼Beast Mode. As the source material might be early CG models (the same applies to the robot mode), there might be significant differences from what is seen in the actual movie. Nevertheless, this mechanical cheetah mode is still incredibly cool and powerful. Both weapons can also be fully stored and hidden in this mode, which alone is a significant plus.

▼The temporomandibular joint is articulated, and by utilizing the limb joints, dynamic, leaping poses like this can still be achieved.

▼"Airazor," the aerial firepower of the Maximal faction, is also included in the Deluxe Class size, just like Cheetor. Unlike the Kingdom version, which was a retool of the Studio Series version, this version features an entirely new mold design, making it truly refreshing to play with.

▼Robot Mode. As current trailers have not yet fully revealed her robot mode, it is still uncertain whether Airazor in the movie will be closer to this mainline version or the Studio Series design.

▼It comes with a pair of twin blades as weapons, and the twin wings on her back can also be freely deployed. Paired with a display stand, it can better showcase her aerial combat prowess!

▼Beast Mode, a Peregrine Falcon blended with a cinematic heavy-machinery style. The transformation mechanism design is very innovative, especially the pair of wings formed from the legs. You absolutely must experience it for yourself!

▼It's not just about the design! The roots of these wings also feature articulation, allowing for effortless up-and-down flapping!

▼Upon closer inspection, even the tail feathers feature gradient paintwork, fully showcasing the elegant demeanor of this Maximal female warrior!

▼"Optimus Prime," the eternal leader of the Autobots, leading his trusted forces to resist Decepticon attacks and protect their second home – Earth. This mainline version adopts the mid-sized Voyager Class, recreating his robot and truck cab modes.

▼Robot Mode, recreating his appearance from the new movie, and comes with his signature weapon, the Ion Blaster.

▼The head sculpt, face mask, and chest/abdomen are filled with intricate details; the sheer amount of information is incredibly satisfying to behold!

▼The protagonist's high-spec treatment is, of course, beyond doubt, and dynamic poses, both cool and imposing, are absolutely no problem!

▼Vehicle Mode: This red and blue semi-truck, a continuation from the end of "Bumblebee," has always been Optimus Prime's most classic signature look. It's also a cherished childhood memory for many veteran fans, and seeing it on the big screen again is truly exciting!

▼The transparent parts forming the windows/robot chest add a brilliant finishing touch, and the ion blaster can also be easily stored at the rear of the vehicle. This Optimus Prime is perfect for new collectors!

▼"Optimus Primal," leader of the Maximals, leads his beast-mode troops, hidden on Earth. When the greatest threat to the galaxy arrives, they will not hesitate to stand up and fight! This Optimus Primal utilizes the Voyager Class size, aiming to recreate both his robot and gorilla modes from the film.

▼In robot mode, you can clearly see the coexistence of organic fur textures and mechanical components. He comes with his signature twin blades, which can be held in hand or mounted on his back.

▼The articulation is also quite impressive, and the large blades can even be held in one hand to form a double-bladed weapon, just like the original toy. Fans of "Beast Wars" absolutely cannot miss this new-era reinterpretation of the design!

▼Gorilla Mode: While the transformation process is relatively simple, the resulting effect is still quite stunning. The ingenious internal/external chest plate swapping mechanism between robot and gorilla modes is particularly brilliant – you absolutely must experience this for yourself!
▼The head sculpt also boasts incredibly intricate details, truly worth savoring (so good!).

▼Recreating bipedal stances and the classic chest-thumping pose is absolutely no problem!

▼"Maximals, maximize!!" Will this classic line be uttered in the movie? Let's wait and see!

▼Beast-Mode Bumblebee: This is a large-sized toy aimed at children. It not only features dazzling light and sound effects but also boasts an original beast mode, offering even richer play possibilities for the robot form.

▼Robot Mode: It features basic articulation at the neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. The chest design clearly shows the silhouette of a Chevrolet Camaro.

▼The abdomen features a light and sound switch. Pressing it activates multiple sound effects and illuminates the red/blue lights hidden within the chest.

▼And now for the highlight! Simply retract the legs...

▼to deploy the hidden falcon head from the chest and the wings from the back, evolving into a more powerful beast mode!

▼Then, flip out the sharp claws hidden within the arms and equip the transparent aqua-blue energy longsword, and the beast mode transformation is complete!

▼Vehicle Mode: It also adopts the off-road Chevrolet design from the movie. Doesn't the muscular car's robust feel combined with its massive size exude incredible power?

▼After transforming into vehicle mode, the light and sound switch moves to this square button on the roof. Pressing it activates the vehicle's sound effects!

▼Size Comparison: This should give you a better sense of the size differences, right?

▼Movie Studio Series No. 101 "Scourge" (also translated as "Plague") adopts the large Leader Class size, making it essentially the boss-level presence in this new movie. As the vanguard of an ancient, mysterious force, he leads the Terrorcons in a gradual advance on the Autobots and Maximals. This Scourge figure features an all-new mold design, faithfully recreating his robot and long-nosed truck forms from the film.

▼Includes a dedicated cardboard backdrop for "Attack at the Museum," a consistent tradition within the Movie Studio Series.

▼In robot mode, the dark visual aesthetic immediately conveys that he is no benevolent entity. His asymmetrical armaments are also incredibly eye-catching. The included interchangeable hand cannon can be stored at the rear of his waist.

▼The head's faceplate is essentially the physical manifestation of the Terrorcon insignia. His eyes feature a light-piping mechanism, allowing light to be shone from the back of the head for a striking glowing effect. Notably, both the head and neck are equipped with highly articulated ball joints, which greatly aids in achieving a diverse range of head poses.

▼The steel claw on his left hand features a single-axis joint at its base, and the claw itself is made of soft plastic, eliminating concerns about scratching hands or causing injury.

▼Furthermore, with a simple plug-and-play action, the steel claw can be swapped out for the hand cannon.

▼His right hand is equipped with a double-bladed sword, which can normally be stored behind his forearm like a knuckle blade, or moved forward using the rear joint to be held in hand.

▼What more can be said? I think "cool" is the only word that truly describes it.

▼Beyond the magnificent weaponry and abundant details, Scourge's articulation is equally impressive. No matter how you play with or pose him, his boss-level dominance will inadvertently shine through. There's absolutely no reason to miss out on acquiring this figure!

▼In vehicle mode, he resembles Optimus Prime's long-nosed truck form from earlier live-action films. The chains wrapped around various parts give him an even stronger wasteland aesthetic and an aura of death!

▼The scratched paint textures across the vehicle body are reproduced via printing.

▼A close-up of the truck's front, which also forms the robot's chest. After removing the grille, you can clearly see various faction insignias, displayed like trophies of war, truly marking him as a professional hunter whose business is to hunt Cybertronians.

▼Whether in robot or vehicle mode, and regardless of sculpt or playability, this Movie Studio Series version of Scourge delivers exceptionally high performance. We sincerely and earnestly recommend it to all Transformers enthusiasts!

▼And that concludes this toy unboxing for "Rise of the Beasts." While waiting for the movie's official release, why not try to deduce the plot from the toys, or simply fully enjoy the beauty of the figures? See you in the next unboxing!
