Today, Bandai Co., Ltd. Japan announced the latest product from the 2023 Super Sentai series tokusatsu drama, "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger": the "DX Tarantula Knight Chitei Guardian Weapon Set," scheduled for release on June 17, 2023.
The newly introduced sixth monarch in the series, Jeramie / Spider Kumonos, is a hybrid born from a human and an insectoid. His father was originally the sixth monarch who, 2000 years ago, fought alongside the five kings to repel the evil empire "Underworld Empire Bugnarok," but was erased from history after eloping with an enemy insectoid female. Jeramie can utilize the powers of both the Shugods (insect guardian deities) and the Bugnarok in battle, and can even summon the Tarantula Shugod to transform independently into the giant robot "Tarantula Knight" to combat giant Bugnarok.
The "DX Tarantula Knight Chitei Guardian Weapon Set" is a bundled set that includes three items: "DX Tarantula Knight," "Guardian Weapon Cicada Blade," and "Guardian Weapon Centipede Chainsaw." The Tarantula Shugod's eight legs each possess flexible articulation, and it can fully transform into Tarantula Knight on its own. After transformation, the entire body features over 20 points of articulation, and the head's visor structure also has an unfolding mechanism, allowing for dynamic poses to recreate special moves.
Both the "Guardian Weapon Cicada Blade" and "Guardian Weapon Centipede Chainsaw" can transform from their original insect forms into weapon forms, attaching to DX Tarantula Knight's arms to recreate a dual-wielding armament with a blade in one hand and a chainsaw in the other! Furthermore, all three items will also be released as individual standalone versions, so if you prefer not to purchase the set, you can choose to buy your favorites separately.
