Released by Japan's CAPCOM company, the Monster Hunter statue series 'CAPCOM FIGURE BUILDER Creator's Model', which collaborates with renowned monster sculptors, has announced its latest product: "Shagaru Magala". The suggested retail price is 22,000 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in September 2023.
The immensely popular monster, Shagaru Magala (天廻龍 シャガルマガラ), which made a magnificent re-appearance in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, is the adult form of Gore Magala. Its originally dark scales transform into a splendid white-gold. Although it is a dragon of calamity that spreads the Frenzy Virus, it is worshipped as a deity in many regions; the "Poem of Shagaru Magala" passed down in Cheeko Sands village praises it as a symbol of life and reincarnation.
The "CAPCOM FIGURE BUILDER Creator's Model Shagaru Magala" is sculpted by Tatsuya Furuichi and supervised by Ryu Oyama. The sculpt meticulously recreates the game's uniquely lustrous pure white form and massive wings. The overall paintwork features a luxurious platinum gradient, with beautiful light pink hues at the wingtips. The scale sculpting is both exquisite and vivid, and the raised wing claws display wing membranes like a halo. Its golden eyes exude a majestic and sacred aura. The base is inspired by the Forbidden Lands, its former habitat, completing the work's worldview.
