Japan's renowned toy brand MEDICOM TOY (メディコム・トイ), under its VCD soft vinyl doll toy series (VINYL COLLECTIBLE DOLLS), will release a product based on the popular Japanese national anime "Crayon Shin-chan," introducing the "VCD Shin-chan Early Anime Ver."! The suggested retail price is 10,780 JPY, with an estimated release in October 2023.
The "VCD Shin-chan Early Anime Ver." soft vinyl figure stands 19 cm tall, faithfully recreating the art style of the early anime. While retaining his signature thick eyebrows, his rounder face and somewhat dazed expression bring back the innocent charm of the five-year-old. His iconic red top and yellow shorts are made of fabric, and underneath his shorts, there's even a pair of underwear printed with Action Mask's design! Simple articulation points are designed at five locations, including the head, shoulders, and legs.
