Japanese capsule toy brand Qualia is set to release a hilarious new gashapon series in September 2023, one that might just shake up your childhood memories (?), titled "Mochi-Pounding Muscle Moon Rabbit" (tentative translation, うさぎの餅つきんにく)!
Every Mid-Autumn Festival, the legendary tales of "Chang'e Flying to the Moon" and "The Jade Rabbit Pounding Medicine" are recounted. This time, Qualia's "Mochi-Pounding Muscle Moon Rabbit" directly "SMASHES—!!" the image of the mischievous little Jade Rabbit hopping around on the moon in your mind! Where is the cute rabbit? Here, there are only muscular white rabbits, sweating and flexing their muscles for a thousand years! Qualia has created five styles of these Moon Rabbits, each approximately 6.5 cm tall. Whether it's the dynamic pose of vigorously swinging the wooden pestle or the imposing stance of shouldering a large mortar, they involuntarily inspire a sense of awe. There's even a version where the pestle has completely shattered the mortar! Coupled with the excellent sculpting of their muscular physiques, it's powerful! Too powerful! This is definitely a must-buy.
