Japanese toy company EVOLUTION TOY's action hero "HERO ACTION FIGURE (HAF)" series will release the highly popular kaiju from the tokusatsu series, "Kaiju Booska Monochrome Version". The suggested retail price is 19,580 JPY, and it will be sold exclusively on Tsuburaya's official online store, TSUBURAYA STORE ONLINE. It is scheduled for release in August 2023!
The black-and-white tokusatsu TV series "Kaiju Booska," co-produced by Tsuburaya Productions and Toho Co., Ltd., presents a comedic take on "What if a kaiju lived in your home?" It transforms creatures originally perceived as terrifying and frightening into friends for children, creating a cute kaiju image distinct from the Ultraman series. Booska was originally a lizard discovered by the young boy Daisaku Tonda in his home. Daisaku, who loved invention and research, used the lizard as an experimental subject to raise a giant kaiju, feeding it a growth-promoting nutrient he developed—however, the experiment had some unexpected results, and the lizard transformed into the adorable and somewhat clumsy "Kaiju" Booska.
The "HERO ACTION FIGURE Kaiju Booska Monochrome Version" action figure stands approximately 17 cm tall. Its black-and-white color scheme, as if stepping right out of a Showa-era television, faithfully recreates Booska's cute big eyes, two front teeth, and plump belly! It comes with an interchangeable wide-eyed head, as well as accessories like his favorite ramen, a dustpan and broom for cleaning, glasses and a branch for his magic lesson outfit, a large wooden stick, and more, allowing for dynamic recreations of scenes from the show! Additionally, it includes interchangeable parts such as a bent Booska crown and a tail bitten by a turtle!
▼Bonus includes a ramen shop apron (monochrome/color) x 1 each
