Japanese toy company KOTOBUKIYA's "ARTFX J" scale figure series is set to release a 1/8 scale PVC figure of "Vash the Stampede," the protagonist from the 2023 anime adaptation "TRIGUN STAMPEDE" of the sci-fi work 《Trigun》, in December 2023.
《Trigun》 (Japanese title: トライガン) is a work created by Japanese manga artist "Yasuhiro Nightow," serialized from 1995 and concluding in 1997. Later, in 1997, 《Trigun Maximum》 was released, serialized until 2007. The anime adaptation was first released in 1998, and in 2023, an original anime series, "TRIGUN STAMPEDE," was launched, which has some differences in its story compared to the original work.
The story describes a blonde-haired man, a wanted criminal with a 60 billion bounty on his head, named "Vash the Stampede," on a desolate planet. Always smiling, he causes great disasters wherever he goes, earning him the moniker "Humanoid Typhoon." Due to his exorbitant bounty, many bounty hunters seek his life, prompting an insurance company to assign agents to follow him, thus beginning a perilous adventure. The protagonist, Vash the Stampede, is a master gunman with blonde hair, colored glasses, a prosthetic left arm, and a red coat. He always wears a smile, which can sometimes seem a bit disingenuous, but he carries a painful past and harbors secrets that set him apart from ordinary people.

This ARTFX J series PVC figure of Vash the Stampede is based on his appearance from the brand-new 2023 original anime. Vash is depicted standing, holding his gun with a serious gaze aimed forward, complemented by a specially designed desert-themed base adorned with desolate architecture and a moon. Vash's signature red coat features a dynamic, flowing sculpt, and his sunglasses are removable. Other intricate details on his body, including his prosthetic arm, are faithfully recreated. Furthermore, purchases made through Kotobukiya's official online store will receive an exclusive smiling face accessory.
