From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company HOBBY Division, the 1/144 scale Gunpla "HG (High Grade)" series today announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Gekko", the "HG 1/144 Oltlinde", scheduled for release in September 2023.
The V03-0907 Oltlinde is a Valkyrie Frame series mobile suit developed concurrently with the Gundam Frames during the latter stages of the Calamity War, passed down through generations by the Gijin family, now members of Gjallarhorn. This mobile suit boasts a pure white and elegant design, excelling in agile close-quarters combat with high mobility. It is equipped with the physical melee weapon "Valkyrie Twinblade", which can be configured as a double-bladed sword or separated into two individual swords. Its left shoulder once housed a launcher for the forbidden weapon "Dainsleif", but this has since been removed.
The "HG 1/144 Oltlinde" is based on previously released Valkyrie Frame series mobile suits, utilizing a large number of new parts to recreate its elegant, pure white armor design. It features precise color separation and part division; the asymmetrical head antenna and the cross on the left shoulder are reproduced using molded part colors. Its main weapon, the "Valkyrie Twinblade", includes parts for both its double-bladed sword form and its twin sword form, allowing for interchangeability. Continuing the Valkyrie Frame's characteristic high posability, and combined with the movable shield-shaped stabilizer on its left shoulder, the Oltlinde can be posed in a variety of cool stances!
