Japan's Bandai Spirits Co., Ltd.'s new series, "Kaiju Kiko," dedicated to showcasing the charm of kaiju, will launch its first installment with the popular kaiju "King Joe STORAGE Custom" from "Ultraman Z." The suggested retail price is 19,800 JPY, with an estimated release in October 2023.
The new high-end model series, "Kaiju Kiko King Joe STORAGE Custom," which combines kaiju from tokusatsu shows with articulation and transformation mechanisms, features a completely new sculpt that recreates King Joe's armor rebuilt with the latest technology. Its design and detailed coloring more closely reproduce the in-show appearance. For articulation, even more movable joints have been added, especially the movable design of the Pedanium Particle Cannon on the right arm's elbow and the Pedanium Hammer on the left arm, greatly increasing the range of motion and allowing for poses previously unachievable with past products.
It includes three transformation modes: robot, tank, and separation, and can also display the four-unit separation form.
Additionally, it features a lighting mechanism not found in previously released DX toys! Multiple areas have built-in LED light effects. The forehead and chest are made with blue transparent parts, which not only reveal the internal mechanical structure but also recreate the impressive lighting effects from the show. It also includes dialogue voices from the protagonists Haruki Natsukawa and Yoko Nakashima, as well as sound effects for King Joe's various functions, attack sound effects, and realistic sound effects for switching between the three modes: robot, tank, and separation.
