GOOD SMILE COMPANY's Nendoroid series, a line of over a thousand different posable figures, is set to release "Nendoroid Rice Shower," following releases from the popular anime "Umamusume: Pretty Derby" such as "Special Week" and "Gold Ship"! Priced at 6,800 JPY, it is scheduled for release in October 2023.
The highly popular Umamusume, Rice Shower, is based on the real-life racehorse of the same name, known as the "Black Assassin" in 1990s Japan. In the game's setting, she is a timid and weak-willed Umamusume, believing herself to bring misfortune and always unintentionally finding herself in the role of an antagonist, an unfortunate girl. However, even when fate plays tricks on her, she shows a strong side, striving with all her might. In reality, Rice Shower suffered an accident during the Takarazuka Kinen, a comminuted fracture in her left foreleg leading to her immediate euthanasia. However, the "Umamusume" anime allows Rice Shower to brilliantly win the Spring Tenno Sho, earning the audience's cheers.
The "Nendoroid Rice Shower" posable figure stands approximately 10 cm tall. It adorably recreates Rice Shower's magnificent black racing outfit in Nendoroid style, faithfully reproducing characteristic details such as the short sword at her waist, echoing her "Assassin" moniker, and the blue rose on her head. It comes with three interchangeable face plates: a "nervous face" lacking confidence, a shy "smiling face," and a "serious face" for racing. Additionally, it includes interchangeable limb and hand parts, along with a "bouquet" and a large green base that can be fitted with a race track fence, allowing you to enjoy her figure dashing across the track!
