PLEX Co., Ltd. of Japan, in collaboration with X-PLUS Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product from their monster soft vinyl figure series "Toho Large Monster Series," which features monsters from Toho films. The new item, "Godzilla (2019) Atomic Breath Ver.," based on "Godzilla: King of the Monsters," is scheduled for release in July 2023.
This product uses the same mold as the "Toho Large Monster Series Godzilla (2019)" released in 2020, presented in a size of approximately 27 cm in height and 48 cm in length. The sculpt meticulously captures the Legendary Godzilla's characteristic robust physique, the gills on both sides of its neck, and its rough, crocodile-like skin with sharp details, along with dorsal fins that pay homage to the original Toho Godzilla. The entire body is finished with a matte color to convey a rough texture, and a dry brush of earthy yellow is applied to create a dust-covered effect, simultaneously enhancing the clarity of the skin's intricate details.
What's different is that a large number of blue LED lights are embedded from the dorsal fins at the tip of the tail, extending all the way to the eyes and mouth. Once powered on, they will illuminate sequentially from the tail to the mouth, mimicking Godzilla's charging action before firing its Atomic Breath in the movie, creating an even more immersive presentation!
