Hong Kong toy brand threezero's 1/6 scale articulated figure series 'FigZero' today announced the latest product from the anime version of 'ULTRAMAN', the "1/6 ULTRAMAN SUIT MARIE (Anime Version)", scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2024.
The first ULTRAMAN Suit designed for a female user, "MARIE", is an enhanced armor equipped by Ultraman Bemular to protect the protagonist Rena Sayama. Its prototype is based on Mother of Ultra Marie from the Land of Light in Nebula M78 from the tokusatsu 'Ultraman', possessing similar abilities such as healing ray techniques and protective shields. However, the overall design also reflects Rena Sayama's idol status, featuring not only cute skirts and long boots in an idol costume style, but also a transformation sequence as dazzling as those of Sailor Moon or Pretty Cure.
The "FigZero 1/6 ULTRAMAN SUIT MARIE (Anime Version)" perfectly recreates the anime version's design with a fully articulated specification, standing approximately 27 cm tall. It features over 44 points of articulation throughout the body. In addition to PVC and ABS plastic, some parts are made with die-cast metal, faithfully reproducing the metallic paint finish, the armor's smooth and elegant curves, and a substantial feel when handled. Both eyes, the chest color timer, and the abdominal energy light are equipped with internal LED lights that can illuminate in yellow and blue.
Accessories include translucent blue parts to recreate the "Ray Technique Effect" fired from both palms, a "Shield Effect" composed of multiple hexagons, and five pairs of interchangeable hand parts with different poses, allowing for the recreation of the character's cute combat stances from the series.
