BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS collector's toy division in Japan is finally releasing the long-awaited latest product from the OVA "Aura Battler Dunbine: New Story of Aura Battler DUNBINE" within the popular METAL BUILD alloy toy series, from which the "METAL BUILD DRAGON SCALE" line is derived: the "Sirbine". It will have a reference price of 29,700 JPY and is scheduled for release in October 2023!
The protagonist Aura Battler Sirbine from the OVA "Aura Battler Dunbine: New Story of Aura Battler DUNBINE", after slumbering for 700 years in the sacred land of "Baraam Baraam", is activated and piloted by Shion Zaba, the reincarnation of Sho Zama, engaging in fierce combat with its arch-nemesis, the Zwarth piloted by Black Knight Raban. Its design philosophy differs from other Aura Battlers, utilizing a specialized helmet to replace cockpit instruments and displays, requiring the pilot to operate it using the powerful Aura Power ability known as "Mind's Eye".
The "METAL BUILD DRAGON SCALE Sirbine" features original mechanical design by Yutaka Izubuchi and key visuals by Takuhito Kusanagi. It combines a beetle-like organic feel with mechanical armor and is crafted from composite materials such as die-cast, PVC, and clear parts to create an exceptionally high-quality sculpt. Numerous armor sections are finished with a pearlescent sheen and adorned with elaborate metallic engravings, creating rich and opulent textural variations.
Multiple armor parts on the legs, forearms, and chest feature articulation mechanisms, allowing for more organic and dynamic posing. The mechanical-style dual wings boast a complex deployment mechanism, with four thin, wing-like internal feathers designed to be foldable, allowing for subtle adjustments to the wing's shape based on the pose. Two types of beam sword effects are recreated using clear parts, perfectly reproducing the Sirbine's iconic image!
