Following the first product of their dream collaboration, "Chogokin Liger Zero," Japan's two major toy industry leaders, BANDAI SPIRITS and TAKARA TOMY, today once again announced the latest product in the Chogokin ZOIDS series, "Liger Zero Unarmored Body," scheduled for release in January 2024.
The lion-type Zoid RZ-041 Liger Zero, unlike typical Zoids equipped with an OS, is a Zoid developed based on a "complete wild body." It possesses its most distinctive Changing Armor System (CAS), which allows it to swap armor and weapons to suit different environments and tactical needs. In addition to the highly versatile gray-white "Zero Armor" already released in the Chogokin series, it also features combat armor "Schneider," high-speed armor "Jaeger," and heavy armament armor "Panzer," among other armaments.
The "Chogokin Liger Zero Unarmored Body" commercializes the bare body form, which is closest to its wild state after removing the Zero Armor from the previous release. It showcases an intricate frame, crafted with some parts made of die-cast metal and finished with various metallic paint applications, not only exuding a substantial mechanical feel and a weighty presence when handled, but its flexible articulated joint design also mimics the suppleness of real felines, allowing for powerful and wild running and jumping poses.
The body, nearly 40 cm in length, is equipped with LED light-up devices for its eyes and a deployable cockpit mechanism in the head. In addition to the included Zoid Core, pilot figure, and interchangeable cockpit parts, a new set of armor display stand parts has been added, allowing for individual display of separately sold armor sets such as Zero, Schneider, Jaeger, and Panzer!
