Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya today announced the release of a new model kit product from "Brave Exkaiser", the "Great Exkaiser Gold Plated Ver.", scheduled for February 2024. This product will be sold exclusively through official Kotobukiya channels such as KOTOBUKIYA SHOP.
Great Exkaiser (グレートエクスカイザー) is the super-gigantic combined form of King Exkaiser and Dragon Jet, which originally lacked a combining mechanism, after receiving the power left behind by the ancient Space Police from the Nazca Lines. Its power far surpasses previous forms, allowing it to wield the Kaiser Sword, which previously required two hands, with just one. It can even combine the Kaiser Sword with the Dragon Bow to form the even larger "Great Kaiser Sword", unleashing the ultimate one-hit-kill technique, "Great Thunder Flash"!
This time, Kotobukiya is re-releasing the first model kit product in the Brave series, the "Great Exkaiser", with a super luxurious full-body gold plated specification. All parts of the model, except for joints and connection points that are more prone to wear and scratches (which use gold molded color), are treated with gold plating to achieve a brilliant shine. By omitting the combining mechanism, the kit reproduces a cool body proportion and articulation through a movable frame. The hip joint parts have also been updated with new parts featuring a pull-out structure and movable rear skirt armor.
As for accessories, in addition to three types of interchangeable hands and two interchangeable face parts, it also includes weapons such as the Kaiser Sword, Kaiser Sword (for Brave Pose), Dragon Bow, and Great Kaiser Sword, all similarly treated with luxurious gold plating. Furthermore, a "half-damaged head" part is included to recreate the final battle scene, allowing fans to reproduce the classic final showdown on the moon's surface from the final episode, together with the separately sold villain robot "Dragoon".
