The articulated figure series "S.H.Figuarts," released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has chosen JAY KAY, the frontman of the British Funk and Acid Jazz band "Jamiroquai" from London, for its latest articulated model. It is based on his iconic look from the music video for their classic song "Virtual Insanity." The highly articulated design allows you to recreate his dynamic movements from the MV. Priced at 9,900 JPY, it is a TAMASHII Tamashii Web Shop exclusive item.
"Jamiroquai" was formed in 1992 and held a significant position in the London Funk and Acid Jazz music scene of the 1990s. Subsequently, they incorporated elements of Rock, Disco, electronic music, and Latin styles into their music, demonstrating immense creative prowess, and even won a Grammy Award in 1998. The band has been established for 31 years, with members coming and going, but the only constant has been frontman JAY KAY, who is also the soul and iconic figure of the band.
Their third album, "Travelling Without Moving," released in 1996, propelled the band to global fame. The most widely recognized track is "Virtual Insanity," which not only achieved success in Europe and America but also garnered a large following among music fans in Asia.

This S.H.Figuarts articulated figure produced by Bandai adopts the attire of frontman JAY KAY from the "Virtual Insanity" MV: a stylish look featuring a fedora hat, a blue fuzzy jacket, and black trousers, perfectly consistent with his appearance in the original music video. Coupled with various interchangeable expressions and head sculpts produced with Bandai's exclusive digital coloring technology (Tamashii no Digital Saishoku Gijutsu), it completely recreates Jay Kay's dashing presence from back then.
To showcase the capabilities of this production, a special "Virtual Insanity" MV video was even filmed using the articulated figure, demonstrating truly remarkable dedication!
