BANDAI CANDY, the confectionery toy division of Bandai Japan, has announced the latest product information for the third installment in the popular assembly model confectionery toy series 'SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT ALTERNATIVE DESTINY,' designed by mechanical designer Toshihisa Miyauchi. Following Gunbuster and King Exkaiser, today they revealed the 'Choujuu Sentai Liveman Live Robo'.
In the series, the initial members, Red Falcon, Yellow Lion, and Blue Dolphin, each pilot one of three Super Beast Machines: Jet Falcon, Land Lion, and Aqua Dolphin. They use these to combat the armed brain army 'Volt,' composed of a group of evil scientists. The three machines possess excellent combat capabilities in the sea, land, and air, respectively. However, upon transforming and combining into 'Live Robo,' they unleash even greater power, battling giant Brain Beasts with weapons such as the Super Beast Sword.
The 'SMP AD Live Robo' reinterprets the design with a modern style, featuring high-density details. Its appearance boasts richer layering compared to the original's streamlined armor, and the head-to-body ratio is taller and more imposing. Each of the three Super Beast Machines includes playable gimmicks, such as the Jet Falcon's leg deployment and the Aqua Dolphin's underwater/land mode switching. All three machines also feature a transformation and combination mechanism, allowing for the recreation of the cool 'Live Robo' form with flexible articulation, wielding the Super Beast Sword and Live Shield!
