The 'Figure-rise Standard Amplified' series, released by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division, which further amplifies character designs and the expressive tension of model kits, will launch a new product from《Digimon Adventure》: the "Figure-rise Standard AMPLIFIED MetalGreymon (Vaccine)" model kit. It has a suggested retail price of 6,600 JPY and is scheduled for release in November 2023.
MetalGreymon, a cyborg Digimon whose body has been largely mechanized, not only has its lifespan significantly extended but can also unleash power far greater than Greymon. Its attack power is comparable to a nuclear missile, capable of obliterating lower-level Digimon without a trace. Its special moves include the "Trident Arm," made of reinforced Chrome Digizoid, the "Giga Destroyer" which fires organic missiles from its chest, and the "Mega Flame" which blasts high-temperature energy waves.
The "Figure-rise Standard AMPLIFIED MetalGreymon (Vaccine)" model kit, through its "Amplified" concept, emphasizes the character's dynamic presence by thoroughly magnifying MetalGreymon's unique blend of organic body and machinery. This creates a striking contrast between its lean, agile physique and its heavy, rigid mechanical parts. The three pairs of wings on its back are made from PET material with printed patterns, presenting a sharp and vivid appearance. The movable hatch on its chest can open to replicate the "Giga Destroyer" firing state, and it includes the "Alterous" (アルタラウス) gigantic energy cannon to recreate its modified form, bringing to life the ultimate scene of firing its Positron Blaster!
It comes with 3D metallic stickers to add highlights in various areas. A major highlight, considering its expandability as a model kit, is the inclusion of 3mm and 5mm connection ports throughout the body.
