Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted figure series "POP UP PARADE" has announced the latest product, "Akko Kagari," from [[OBJ_4483]]'s popular original anime "Little Witch Academia," scheduled for release in November 2023.
The anime's protagonist, "Akko Kagari," is a young girl from an ordinary family who, in her youth, aspired to become a witch after admiring the witch idol "Shiny Chariot" and enrolled in the witch academy "Luna Nova Magical Academy." However, Akko, with no magical foundation, not only couldn't fly on a broom but also frequently failed when using magic, causing much trouble, and her impulsive personality almost led to her expulsion multiple times. Despite this, Akko's heart remained resolute, striving to become a witch like Chariot, to help others and bring joy with magic.
"POP UP PARADE Akko Kagari," with a total height of 17 cm, perfectly reproduces the character design by animators Yoh Yoshinari and Shuhei Handa, not only faithfully recreating Akko's bright and adorable smile and slender, cartoon-style physique, but also crafting the entire witch school uniform according to the brushstrokes of the design drafts, sculpting fluid lines for details such as the brim of the hat, the hem of the skirt, and the gradually widening sleeves. The product is priced at only 4,800 JPY (tax included), making it an accessible price point suitable for beginners.
