The Japanese ancient castle that has been circulating online and highly anticipated by many LEGO fans is finally here! The Architecture series set, number 21060, 'Himeji Castle', was officially announced today (26th) and is expected to be released on August 1, 2023.

Designated as a National Treasure by the Japanese government and also the most well-preserved castle, 'Himeji Castle' is not only a classic symbol of Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture, but also one of Japan's Three Great Castles, alongside Kumamoto Castle and Matsumoto Castle! This LEGO model of Himeji Castle, built with 2125 pieces, stands approximately 19 cm tall and measures 32 cm in length. It masterfully condenses Himeji Castle's magnificent silhouette and rich East Asian charm. The castle walls, constructed from gray and white bricks, are incredibly clever, utilizing various new curved elements to outline the corners, while the window structures are also impressively rendered. The stone sections of the castle are represented by a large number of sloped brown bricks.

Beyond the main Himeji Castle structure with its towers, connecting walkways, and stairs, the adjacent green spaces and four brick-built cherry blossom trees (two green and two pink) further enhance the complete thematic feel of this castle. Paired with the black display base featuring the 'Himeji Castle' inscription, it will undoubtedly look absolutely stunning when displayed!
