The model kit series "MODEROID," launched by Japan's MECHA SMILE brand, today announced the latest product from the animated film "Promare," "Lio de Galon," scheduled for release in January 2024.
Appearing at the climax of "Promare," the robot Lio de Galon is a colossal machine piloted by the protagonist Galo and powered by Lio. It was originally the superweapon "Deus X Machina" created by Dr. Deus, but Galo was unmotivated by its appearance. After Lio released a massive amount of Burnish energy, it transformed into "Lio de Galon." With its agile movement, it can execute various martial arts and utilize Burnish energy to manifest dragon-shaped flames, giant fists, and even the "Matoi Tekka," a massive banner symbol of Edo-period firefighters, as weaponry.

The "MODEROID Lio de Galon" is thoroughly supervised by its designer, Shigeto Koyama. It features a powerful sculpt, approximately 20 cm tall, created using multiple molded color parts, pre-painted parts, and stickers. By applying pink stickers to the yellow parts, the distinct glowing effects seen in the anime are faithfully reproduced. The head, ankles, and the "Matoi Tekka" weapon held in its hand are made with milky white molded parts. Combined with the highly articulated joints throughout its body, dynamic battle scenes from the film can be recreated!
